Italian Pizza Dough- Barbi's Recipe

Pizza Dough

2 1/2 Cups flour (All purpose, Unbleached)
1 Tbsp salt
1 Envelope yeast
1/2 Cup warm water
4 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 Cup milk
* 1 Teaspoon Sugar

Instructions:

Put 2 1/2 cups flour in mixer, add salt and stir with a fork. Make a well in the center and pour the olive oil and milk into it. Measure the warm water in a measuring cup and add the sugar and yeast to it and whisk it together, then pour into the well.

Using a dough hook, start the mixer on a two for one minute, then turn to a 3 and let it mix for 9 minutes. (This is in a kitchen aid)

Put the dough in a bowl with olive oil in it and rub on sides and flip the ball of dough over so it is covered. Let it rise until doubled in size. (You can also put it in the fridge overnight and then let it rise when you take it out the next day.)

Reshape into a ball and then flatten/knead it into a flat disc about 1/4 inch thick.

Add your favorite toppings and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. This makes 1 large, 2 medium or 4 individual pizzas.
